The Open 85-85 List is a weekly screen of every US stock with EPS and Relative Strength ratings of 85 or higher, priced at $10 or more, within 15% of its 52-week closing high, with average volume of 10,000 shares or better. The ratings are percentile ranks, 1–99, computed against the full US stock universe.
RS ranks twelve months of price performance, weighting the most recent quarter more heavily. EPS combines recent quarterly and multi-year earnings growth, discounted for instability — steady growers get a boost, erratic earners a haircut. A/D grades A through E summarize thirteen weeks of volume-weighted price direction as a proxy for institutional buying versus selling.
Built from free data: NASDAQ's screener, Yahoo Finance, and Yahoo's earnings calendar. The whole pipeline recomputes weekly, and the list is filterable in the browser — bare words match symbols and industries, column expressions filter numerically, and the query lives in the URL so any filtered view can be bookmarked.
